Sunday Sugden Sailing

Sunday afternoons on the beach at Lake Avalon have become a monthly family and friends fun-fest that can speak to everyone’s favorite activity, be that eating, sunning, swimming, playing, learning, cruising, racing or just socializing with Gulf Coast Sailing Club.

Sugden Sundays are in a picnic setting on the picturesque Lake Avalon, a Collier County Parks & Recreation Sailing Center in Sugden Regional Park, 424 Avalon Drive, Naples. The events are offered monthly.

Sugden Sundays are open to the public and suggested for those considering sailing as a past time. Learn to sail, relax and socialize, hang out on the picnic deck or sit on the beach, bring the kids, go sailing with experienced skippers, take a boat ride, go for swim in fresh water or enjoy lawn games.

Registration is recommended so that we can accommodate all that would like to sail.

Monday Sugden Sailing

Events are held at the Collier County Sailing Center located in Sugden Regional Park on beautiful Lake Avalon, 424 Avalon Drive Naples. The Sugden Monday Sailing events are held between 9:00am and 1:00pm. Usually, between 9:00 am to 10:00 am, we offer small boat rigging and/or general sailing instructions at no charge. Sailing begins at 10:00am.

This is great opportunity to sail with a club skipper and enjoy the simple joy of small boat sailing. RSVP is required!

Cost

The cost is $20 an hour, minimum two per boat, or $35 for one. Non-members charged an additional $5 per hour.

Sugden Monday Rules

- Reservations Required

- Members given first priority

- Adults only

- Time slots booked in order received

- 3 Maximum per boat (Club Skipper + 2 crew)

- Minimum time slot one hour

- Maximum time slots two hours
