Ahoy Conquistador Racers,

It is just 31 days until the skippers meeting for the 30th Conquistador Cup Regatta, March 10-12. We are planning to run three fleets this year – Cruising, Non-Spinnaker and Harbor 20. At last count we have about (12) PHRF boats and (9) Harbor 20’s who have said they are coming. I am sure there will be more, and we expect to have some competitive racing!

For you procrastinators, remember that we offer a discount on registrations postmarked by Saturday, February 11, 2023. The deadline for receiving registrations is Friday, March 3. 2023; however, lead times for our catering supplier and hat maker have increased.

You would help us greatly with our planning by sending us an email and letting us know your plans. Our suppliers now want two weeks’ notice and that means we would really like to have your registrations as soon as possible.

If you are unsure about crew dinners and hat orders, that is no problem. Simply send in your registration and check for the entry fee as soon as you can. You can add hats and dinners later by polling your crew and getting us that information with a second check – preferably before Friday, February 24th.

The link button at the bottom of the page will take you to the Conquistador webpage where you can download all the regatta documents: Entry/Registration Form, NOR, SI, and Flyer.

Don’t forget the Conquistador Cup Regatta is an all-inclusive event with respect to food and drinks.

Skippers and crew come to the Friday skippers meeting where pizza is provided and there is an open bar – beer and wine. The Saturday dinner ticket includes an open bar.

The Sunday awards are open to all participants, and we will provide sandwiches, snacks and an open bar. It will be a good party all weekend.

The Royal Order of the Ponce de Leon Conquistadors will be there to present the awards to the regatta winners. If you sail really well on Sunday; you may go home with the fabled Conquistador Helmet!

Register now - we look forward to seeing you here in Charlotte Harbor,
